HG Firearms Training provides the most comprehensive and most affordable training in basic personal protection and firearms use.  Focusing on the fundamentals that apply to both new and experienced gun owners.  We target our instruction to the individual, specializing in helping our students become safe and knowledgeable legally armed citizens.


While most handgun training includes some tactical elements, HGFT is dedicated to providing everyday individuals the training they need for everyday carry and home defense situations.  After our students have completed either a basic firearms course or the Illinois Concealed Carry Course we then offer students the opportunity to expand into more tactical training, if they desire to expand their training.  Few require military level training, but everyone who owns a handgun need to obtain a level of knowledge and proficiency.

Our Instructors are USCCA and NRA Certified Instructors.  When you choose instructors who encompass both the tried and true fundamentals promoted by the NRA and the specialized training from the USCCA to provide you with your firearms training, you know that you are getting the very best training available.  Whether you are taking a class on Handgun Fundamentals or completing training for your Concealed Carry License you know our courses are built on a solid foundation of responsible gun ownership.  You can be confident that you will be prepared to responsibly own a firearm and prepared to exercise your right to carry a handgun in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.

Our Illinois Concealed Carry Course students receive the training necessary to safely handle, shoot and carry a handgun.  Responsible gun ownership is the foundation of our 16 hour Illinois Concealed Carry Firearms Training Course.  This provides our students with a time tested, solid foundation for which all gun safety is based.  Our training courses also provide our students with valuable tools and satisfy the requirements to apply for the Arizona and Florida Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permits.  An Illinois Resident with the Illinois License, Arizona Permit and Florida Permit can legally carry a handgun in 70% of the United States.


Our Instructors are USCCA Certified, NRA Certified and Illinois State Police Certified to teach our classes.  Each are passionate about teaching and firearms.  Once a student takes any of our courses, we consider them a client for life.  Ask any of our students and they will tell you that if you have a simple question or any issues down the road, we are always here for you.  We are committed to keeping our prices as low as possible in an effort to have as many responsible gun owners obtain their License and send a clear message that Concealed Carry works in Illinois.
